Acción donde los asistentes leen y optan por firmar (o no) el documento «Declaración de negación de nacionalidad» y, a cambio se les entrega un certificado de «Negación de nacionalidad» plastificado. Las personas que participan tienen la oportunidad de negar ser parte de una nación fundamentada en el nacionalismo. No ser identificados bajo el concepto de «espíritu ecuatoriano» a través del rechazo a elementos de orden como los símbolos patrios. Es una forma de extender el cuestionamiento de la identidad nacional de un ámbito personal a uno compartido. La acción busca evidenciar la distancia entre regiones y personas, y también la incoherencia de la constitución ecuatoriana con respecto a la realidad. Ofrece la oportunidad de denunciar racismo, xenofobia, sexismo y demás formas de violencia en todas las esferas sociales. Asimismo, el performance permite la reflexión en torno a otros elementos que construyen la identidad como es el fanatismo violento en cualquiera de sus expresiones nacionales. La declaración ofrece la oportunidad de emanciparse de la falacia de nación ecuatoriana, para encontrarse de verdad con la gente, sin el sesgo nacionalista y la cultura de odio al otro. Se trata de poder observar a los demás habitantes del mundo con horizontalidad. Renunciar a ser identificado como ecuatoriano. Ser simplemente humano en el mundo. Aprender a habitar y a vivir con ello. Comprender lo frágil que puede ser la relación entre la identidad ecuatoriana propuesta por el sistema estado-nación y sus participantes.
